Central Hawke's Bay is celebrating the homecoming of taonga from the area with the Nga Taonga o Tamatea - Te Hokinga Mai Exhibition at CHB Settlers’ Museum in Waipawa. The Exhibition is an incredibly special collection of Maori artifacts and includes a river waka on loan from a local farming family and a pou carved with stone tools, from Horehore Pa, Takapau. This is the first exhibition of its kind at the CHB Settler’s Museum in Waipawa and includes items which have not been seen in public for more than 100 years.
